additional services, including emergency food, where needed. In addition, the trust campaigns for change to end the need for food banks in the UK. https://www.trusselltrust.org

Histon & Impington Green Spaces (HIGS) grew out of the community’s desire to save the Abbey Fields from development. They are an all-volunteer community-based charity. The purpose of HIGS is to acquire land in and around Histon and Impington and manage this for nature conservation and to enable the community to experience nature for their enjoyment, health and wellbeing. https://higreenspaces.org

Panther Explorer Scouts has been operating for over 10 years and currently welcomes over seventy 14-18-year olds from the local villages of Histon/Impington, Willingham, Cottenham, Over, Girton and Comberton. They provide healthy, challenging group activities at minimal cost with a focus on the outdoors and learning life skills. In the past year we’ve taught survival skills, first-aid, how to change car tyres as well as rock climbing, ocean yachting, rafting, canal boating, archery, air-rifle shooting and of course camping in the wild! Huge thanks to our sponsors this year, Archangel Architects, Oakington Garden Centre, Station House Café, Bramley Court Care Home, Buckingham & Stanley and U3AC. Their support covers our costs (printing, insurance, etc.), so that all the proceeds from the event can go to the charities.
