Histon & Impington Green Spaces (HIGS) grew out of the community’s desire to save the Abbey Fields from development. They are an all-volunteer community-based charity. Panther Explorer Scouts has been operating for over 10 years and currently welcomes over seventy 14-18-year olds from the local villages of Histon/Impington, Willingham, Cottenham, Over, Girton and Comberton. They provide healthy, challenging group activities at minimal cost with a focus on the outdoors and learning life skills. In the past year we’ve taught survival skills, first-aid, how to change car tyres as well as rock climbing, ocean yachting, rafting, canal boating, archery, air-rifle shooting and of course camping in the wild!
